Visit the home kennel of Iditarod Champion Dallas Seavey near Willow, AK, and tour his kennel of 90 Iditarod sled dogs. The tour is based out of a yurt overlooking the dog yard and the frozen lake you'll mush across. Highlights include the hook-up, sled driving demo, and a five mile mush on the same trails that Dallas trains his Iditarod team on. You'll even get a chance to stand on the runners and try out your sled driving skills on a "tag sled". A tag sled is pulled behind the main sled, which is driven by an experienced musher, and used to teach new mushers how to drive a dog sled. After your mush, warm up with cookies and hot drinks in the yurt.
